Kubernetes Operators: Automating the Container Orchestration Platform (Jason Dobies, et al)

Some of the difficulties and goals that shaped the Operator pattern may be recognizable to you if you've deployed applications on a Kubernetes cluster.

This tutorial on Kubernetes Operators is for you if you've kept foundational services like databases and filesystems in their own ghetto outside of your managed clusters and long to integrate them.

The Kubernetes API is extended via operators, which are defined in this book. It demonstrates how to construct and distribute Operators for your applications using the Red Hat Operator Framework as well as how to deploy and utilize currently available Operators. Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles are used to describe the rationale behind the design, construction, and distribution of Operators as well as to relate best practices in these areas.
